FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLIES DEPARTMENT

Introduction

The Department of Food and Civil Supplies has the vision to ensure that every citizen has access to food and a balanced diet. The department has the dual duty of processing of distributing food grains and petroleum products as well as monitoring and enforcing regulatory orders.
Food & Civil Supplies department of Sikkim provides information and links to Service Stakeholders and Consumer who are eligible for various Schemes.
The primary policy objective of the department of Food & Civil Supplies Department. Is to ensure food Security for the State through timely and efficient procurement and distribution of food grains, building up and maintenance of food stocks, their storage, movement and delivery to the distributing agencies and to ensure its doorstep delivery to the consumers.

NFRASTRUCTURE

The DCSO is temporarily set up on the top floor of the Building & Housing Department, located above the Pakyong Police Station.
